There was a massive exit wound in his face. That could have caused the face to swell up and tighten?

I does seem strange that we never heard of Dillinger's escapades after that night in chicago. But, dillinger was very clever, all his associates were getting killed and he could have realised that it is only a matter of time till he is caught and killed so he escaped with a load of money thathe had stashed from his robberies and never surfaced again. The medical condition and 170 lb weight of a usually 144 lb dillinger seem strange. Also the eye color and especially the missing tooth which he had upon is death. Did dentists do bridge work in the 1930's???? Strange stuff.

why does no one bring up John's vision?? The Navy recorded his eyesight at 20/20 when he enlisted at the age of 21. Eyesight does degenerate with age, this is true, but to such a degree as to require prescription lenses to watch a movie (on a large screen in a theater?) and use for all day to day purposes (walking down the street?) only 10 years later is something I just cannot fathom to be true. For reading, certainly could be possible, but again - for day to day function... i just don't buy that. And it has been substantiated that the glasses worn by the corpse outside the Biograph were indeed prescription lenses.

Are you able to take courses on EVERY aspect of Forensic Science, (evidence collection, analysis, interrogation etc.) and be like the people in CSI and get to do everything? I realise this may sound a little far-fetched, but is it heard of?

I believe posting these flash robs on YouTube to try and get the participants identification may be a mistake. What is doing is giving them celebrity status and that will only encourage them to do it again. Perhaps law enforcement should use the video frames to get still shots and compare them to local high school yearbook pictures, or post them as wanted posters in publlic areas. I think if someone participates in criminal activities like that, they should be prosecuted with jail time, if only for a few days. Letting them off because of the minimal value of items stolen won't work. They will just keep doing it because to them it's obviously fun.

In reply to RyanK.

What’s hard to believe since the FBI killed many people thought to be Dillinger.

Why couldn’t they have used the actual gun from the night of the killing? It’s just another red flag that shows the FBI was covering up something. Perhaps there wasn’t a gun since the man that was killed didn’t draw a gun, and was summarily executed. Why would they do that to a man with no gun, and risk killing and harming any of the many bystanders close to the man thought to be Dillinger?

One important piece of evidence that you and many skeptics ignore, and can’t explain is the front right incisor missing in photos of Dillinger, but all teeth are present on the Dillinger corpse?

Perhaps we’ll never know everything that actually happened, but too many loose ends, and mistakes tells me what probably didn’t happen that night.

Perhaps if they ever exhume the body in Dillinger's grave, we will find out even more about what happened?

A tenant of mine, Mrs Brown, lived in one of my apartments in North Hollywood for several years and during this time I found her talking to an elderly gentleman who was the owner of an apartment buiding like mine. Thinking she might be considering moving into one of his apartments a half block away, I asked him if he had a vacancy and my fear of loosing a good tenant. He assured me that this was not the case and that he and Mrs Brown had known each other and were from the same town in Indiana. Prior to this time, I had a conversation with Mrs Brown that some how ended up talking about John Dillinger. Mrs Brown informed me that she new of him and that in fact they were in the same school growing up. I later informed the apartment ownwer of what Mrs Brown had said, and he, Mr Glenn Martin looked me straight in the eye and said your looking at him. I said, John Dillinger? He nodded his head and it was never discussed or mention again. I didn't believe him a the time; however, having recently seen picures of John Dillinger when he was alive, I see the deep smile lines around his mouth and the deep chin cleft and like nose I saw in Glenn Martin. I wonder, could he be the real John Dillinger. Glenn Martin passed a few years ago in front of his apartment pushing a shopping cart. Could Mr J.Edgar Hoover or someone unknown
to him have protected John Dillinger's identity, or better yet did it himself? Bythe way, my tenant, Mrs Brown also passed away.

Normally, I would say that it isn't appropriate for someone to be fired based on their hobbies, as long as there hobbies doesn't hurt anyone else. However, children are so impressionable, and children with autism can be more effected by adults then their peer group. Some autistic children are unable to clearly communicate, which makes them an easy target for victimization. I would not want this man working with my children.

the captain's book was released two years ago. for the captain to speak up and accept responsibility for his actions or the lack there of now is basically to implicate himself. i think he is wanting to get a lot off his chest. lana wood isn't seeking publicity either. her push for the case to be re-opened has cost her the relationship with her niece, natalie's daughter, lana's closest link to her sister.

The Aruban government didn't say there was no crime comitted by releasing him, they said there wasn't enough evidence to hold him. That is a little different. Not sure if he was guilty or not. I know innocent before proven guilty, but he was a person of interest. They can continue their investigation.
