Why the Crime Museum for my student group?
We teach a different side of American history, one that is only touched on in other museums in Washington. Crimes of the past shape the laws of our present and future and have been the catalysts to changes in our government.
Another aspect of our educational mission is to inspire students with an often newfound love of science to promote careers in law enforcement, particularly Forensic Science. An entire gallery is devoted to Crime Scene Investigation and we teach our own line of interactive workshops onsite, getting students excited about learning.
We find that teachers appreciate seeing both the crime and the consequence in the same setting and our group surveys show us to be a student favorite -- because they're having fun too! Teachers often find it hard to get their students out of the museum and many schools return year after year!

The Museum does offer 1 free chaperone ticket for every 10 student tickets.
