Step into the shoes of a crime scene investigator at the Crime Museum's CSI Camp! Campers will learn to process a crime scene by working hands-on to gather evidence in the murder of Fred Lawe. Working together as a Crime Scene Unit, they'll take crime scene photographs and search for evidence. They'll also start a case file to keep track of the evidence throughout the week.
Campers will then spend two days learning real procedures for collecting fingerprints and analyzing blood spatter from a forensic expert. These hands-on activities are perfect for aspiring crime scene investigators -- but crime scenes can get messy, so be sure to wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
The next day more evidence in Fred's death starts cropping up, and campers must put the clues together and interview witnesses to find the truth! Campers will role-play the assorted characters in Fred's life as they take turns playing detective.
The final day of the camp is a mock trial. Once again, campers will step into the roles of key players in the investigation, as they learn how forensic experts and witnesses testify in court. They'll play jury to decide whether the evidence was properly handled -- and whether their suspect is really guilty!
